So what do you say or do when this is said in one of your closings?
Loan officer to borrower- "I bet you didn't know that when you came in today that you were going to change ethnicity........cause when you leave here you are going to be black."
Let me explain just a little see after every closing I need to get copy of photo ID for the file. The copies are black and white and always come out a little darker than the photo........... I have no words to explain why someone would say that to a nice couple trying to refinance their home........ any thoughts?
Loan officer to borrower- "I bet you didn't know that you technically can't keep your car on the property because the deed of trust says no more than 5 gallons of gas or hazardous material can be stored on the property at one time".................
again, what do you say? Some other things were said but honestly I think this is enough ha ha ha

Mr. Fix It
Sean came over this last weekend to work on a friends Jeep and Kaden had to be right there in the action. He ran in the house and said "I gotta get my tools" so I helped him find his Handy Manny Tool Box and he took it outside and worked on his "car" to. Super cute, backwards hat and all. Looks just like his Daddy :)Thursday, March 19, 2009
A very thankful thursday!

All pictures taken by Devin Ashby so check out his photo blog at dashphotography.blogspot.com. You should see the star trails that he can do...................beautiful!
I think my heart is on over load today :) So many things have happened in the last few weeks that I just feel so thankful for my family.
First I am so happy and thankful to be married to my best friend. He loves me even if he thinks I am a little crazy or weird........ha ha ha but I secretly love it that he teases me about things I say and do because I really know he loves it. Amazingly enough we have conquered almost 7 years married and I can't wait for 7+ more (anniversary is on April 5th).
I am so thankful to a mother who watches my kids while I work and is always willing to step in and help. She is so organized and on top of things. My kids adore her and she is probably the best grandma EVER (at least in my eyes). I am also very thankful for my father who I get to work with most every day. He is amazing and supports me always with every decision. My parents are one of a kind and I could never thank them enough.
Brandon, what can I say he is so funny and I always have a great time with him. I still laugh to myself about him scaring the pee out of Riley the dog..................right on my kitchen floor but at least Brandon cleaned it up :) He always seems to know who he is and sticks with it and I really admire him for that. His girlfriend Erica is adorable and I am so glad that I got to know her a little better over this last weekend.
Sean, you are the most loyal and caring person I know. You would do anything for me and I am so happy that we are good friends. Your dear wife is amazing and I am so excited to get to know her better. Chloe is so kind and always helpful. She is a perfect addition to the family.
Devin, you are so strong! Not just muscle strong but spiritually strong. I look up to you for that. You constantly amaze me with all of your talents. You make a great caboose to our family train ;)
I will end the cheesy sappy moment there but I just could not help but thank my little family. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!!!

Kaden's first picture

For all those that have had children there is always someone that comes in right after they are born to take the babies "FIRST PICTURE" well here is Kaden's. It was sent to us again to see if we wanted to purchase any prints but I couldn't resist sharing because I think he was a very cute little newborn :)

20 Things Tag
I was tagged! Here are 20 random useless things about me:
1. I have decided it would be much easier if I was a boy. Wouldn't have to worry about getting my hair done, dresses, monthly friend etc.......... Don't anyone get worried I am still very much a girl but don't you think sometimes it would be easier to be a guy?
2.I am not a morning person. If I had my way I would sleep til noon and stay up til midnight or later every day.
3.I have an over active creative mind. If I am in the craft store I figure out how I can use everything in there for some project. If I am in some kind of decor store I will figure out how I could use everything in some part of my home. I generally will find a place for it (in my mind) before I even think of buying it. If I had time I would start to sew. I found a patter for a dress I want to make Makayla and have already in my mind picked out the colors before it is made.
4. I love my DVR! The best invention ever!
5.I HATE HATE HATE HATE spiders.
6.I worry about everything. It all stresses me out. I think I get it from my Grandma Vacher but seriously I am always worried................why hasn't that come out of my account? Will I have enough time to eat? example today I am worried about not having enough time to get everything done. I also worry I won't have time to iron and wash my clothes for the wedding....................I need to stop I am making myself worry even more!
7.I have decided I love to go on vacation! I am already wanting to go again :)
8. I really really really love salads with just lemon juice on them instead of dressing. Lemon and salt.......mmmmmmm my mouth is watering just thinking of it!
9.I am very impatient and impulsive. I hate waiting. If I want something, I have to have it right away. Even if it's very inconvenient timing. This goes hand in hand with relationships.........so if Jason and I get in a fight I want to fix it right now. I want to talk it out get it over with and Jason wants to sit and stew over it for a while.
10. Jason and I have known each other for just over 10 years and can't believe it has been that long already.
11. I have a hard time sleeping. I let my mind race with thoughts and questions so it is hard to stay asleep at night.
12. I secretly want to be a ghost hunter. I don't know what it is about the supernatural that makes me so curious but I love anything like that as long as it has nothing to do with demons or the devil. I know you are thinking "is there a separation?" Well there is believe me. I don't like scary movies cause they are so evil but I think it is cool to think you can co-exist with those that have passed on..................hard to explain I guess but no worries I won't be breaking out the oigi (or how ever you spell that) board or anything like that!
13. I am fascinated by history. I think that is why I love antiques so much!
14. I love to dance and pretend I am good enough to make it to the finals on ABDC or SYTYCD. No sorry there won't be a recital coming any time soon.
15.I hate driving. Bleh. I am so glad Jason LOVES it because if I had my way I would just snap my fingers and poof I would be were I want to go............why can't I be a witch?
16. I have vivid reoccurring dreams all the time. I hate it and I never talk about them.
17. I love nature minus the bugs. If there was such a place that flies and bees didn't exist I would be there every day if I could.
18. I need to plan everything out. I want to know what time, how long when and were. I guess that is why I like my job so much it is all scheduled out! I know that my closing will be here at 4:30, I know that those closing conditions are due by 12:00, I know that it will take 24 hours to get that payoff back..............oh I love it!
19. I ALWAYS have to be drinking something. I drink at least 64 OZ of Diet Dr.Pepper a day. That's usually on a day I try to "cut back". Don't worry though I drink water too! I think it stems back from when I was on a liquid/soft foods diet for my jaw and I just never grew out of it. I feel lost with out a drink on my desk.
20.I secretly want to be a princess and live in Sleeping beauty castle at Disneyland ;)

Color Schemes and new bows...........
I know you probably thought to yourself "I am so glad she hasn't talked about bows for a long time"............well sorry to break your heart ha ha ha but I need some input! Don't be shy people! I am going to be jumping into making new stuff for another open house hopefully the last week of April.........maybe the first week of May. So I wanted to get your opinion on color schemes. Those of you who have little girls, know a little girl, have a niece.........well you get the point.......... I want to know what colors you are looking for. I have noticed that pink and brown are a huge hit but what else? I know what works for Makayla's wardrobe but what would be ideal for you? Now seriously people dont be shy! Here is the fun part! I am actually going to be doing a contest with this. Post a comment on a color scheme you would like to see and you will be entered into a drawing. The lucky girl that wins will receive a bow wardrobe in any color scheme you want. So if you love brown and pink I will hook you up with a flower, 3 headbands, and 2 custom made bows. Contest will end March 14th at midnight :)
p.s. you can enter more than once :) and don't worry if someone already mentioned your colors, just comment anyway!

Our Disney Vacation
It seems like this week since we returned from our vacation has been a blur. I am going to try and write down some things and then add pictures tonight.
Me, the kids and Cassie left Saturday morning to Las Vegas. Jason was already down there with his Dad and Kacey at the Nascar Races. That is a fun tradition the boys have started. They have gone I think for the last 4 years. Las Vegas is good for nothing more than shopping (at least that is my honest opinion). We spent Sunday at M & M factory. Lets just say that was a very interesting walk down the strip with two young kids. The street was disgusting! Those card flippers were out in full force but they would always hide the cards so the kids could not see them when we passed. It was still one of the hardest things for me to know what my kids might be exposed to. So after a short walk we got up the 4 levels of the M & M factory, paid $11.99 a pound for some crazy colored M & M's and we headed down to Planet Hollywood to grab some makeup at Sephora. I wish we had a Sephora in Utah County! We also went to the outlet mall and to my favorite place the Sketchers outlet. I got Jason a new pair of shoes and a new pair of flip flops for myself. They are silver and sparkly...............just what I LOVE!!!
Monday we headed to Anaheim and got there a little after 5 I believe. We then went to the Rain Forest Cafe for dinner and that was so fun for the kids! The Rain Forest Cafe is in Down Town Disney so we also stopped at "The World of Disney" shop and let the kids pick out what ever they wanted. Makayla got a big minnie mouse and Kaden picked out Pluto. We got some suckers and a shirt for me to wear in disneyland. Nothing big but the kids had fun looking at everything.
Tuesday we headed to Disneyland. Kaden was a little overwhelmed. He was very clingy and wanted to be held the entire time. We opted not to get a stroller and I am glad because he would not have used it any way. The first ride we went on was Snow White..........maybe not the best idea but Makayla loved it. She kept saying "That witch is freaking me out". We did Peter Pan next and that was a little better for the kids. We got Makayla, Jason and Kaden new hats to wear in the park. Makayla has such a tiny head that the toddler hats were too young for her but the childrens hats were so big so we got her a visor and just tightened it up as tight as it would go. She looked adorable! We had so much fun that first day. It was warm and the lines were not big at all.
Wednesday was a whole new story. We started the day out with the possibility of rain and when we got to California Adventure it started to down poor! We ended up getting ponchos which Kaden wanted nothing to do with. I ended up running into a store to see if they might have some rubber bands of some sort so I could tie up the back of the poncho so the kid could walk in it. We got in line for play house disney live on stage and the kids just loved that! After Kaden started to have a melt I ran across the little street there and grabbed a chocolate milk and a giant cookie. It did the trick! We then went on soaring over California. That is THE coolest ride I have ever been on! I just loved it! The rain sorta let up after lunch but it was cold and miserable. The streets in Disneyland were puddles of water. My feet were soaking wet! We went to the Tiki Room and Kaden was doing his train thing he does and knocked my arm and my hot chocolate dumped right down the front of my white sweat shirt and all over my pants. We decided I needed some new socks to keep my feet warm so we headed to get some in this little shop in New Orleans square kinda in the back that is all Nightmare before Chirstmas stuff. That is when Jason and I ran into Lindsay Lohan and her crazy girlfriend. I heard a familure voice say "Wow they are out in droves today" as loud as possible to try and draw attention to herself. When I looked over they were right there. The body gaurd gave Jason the look of death and they stopped for a picture with just the two of them in front of the store we just got out of. It was funny because people recognized her but there were no crowds and no one running for an picture with her or anything. We ate dinner in the little french resturaunt and listened to the live Jazz band play. Then Jason decided he wanted to go on big thunder rail road, it started to rain hard while they were on the ride and so we ended up going home around 7 that night just to go home get warm and dry! Thursday we spent the morning in the park and it was warm. We had fun going on all the rides in California Adventure that were not able to go on when it was raining. We got to go on the Monsters Inc. ride and that is a fun ride for a kids ride. Kaden and Makayla loved it. Then about 2 we headed to St. George and then Friday we drove the rest of the way home. All in all, it was one of the best vacations I have been on to date. Loved being with family and my kids were SO GOOD!!!! I think they had more fun then they know how to process.
