Things to think about
"Recognize that the joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction."-M Russell Ballard
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someones garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Hinckley
And this one makes me feel better
" God expects you to have enough faith, determination, and trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. He expects you not simply to face the future; He expects you to embrace and shape the future—to love it, rejoice in it, and delight in your opportunities. God is eagerly waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can’t if you don’t pray, and He can’t if you don’t dream. In short, He can’t if you don’t believe."
Thank goodness for new days. They can be brighter than the last. I love my life and I need to remember that the hard times have to come with the good times, right? And I really shouldn't be complaining. I have little to complain about.

Me and the kids
I asked my VERY talented brother to take some pics of the kids and I and here are just a few of them. He has such a great eye for things. I was very happy with the way thing turned out.
Kaden would not sit still for anything. He kept saying things like "look at the bird" or "look at the water". He was so excited about his surroundings it was hard to get any of him. Thank you Devin! You are such a great brother! Oh I am sure you are wondering why Jason is not in these........well he just had surgery and we will just say his HUGE sling for his shoulder is not so attractive for family pics. GET BETTER SOON JASON!!! WE LOVE YOU! Dashphotography.blogspot.com

My little Chocolate Monster!

Kaden got to help Mom make no bake cookies this week. He was so excited! He "swired" it and "hixed" it (Stired and mixed). He really liked when I dumped the chocolate chips in. He just went wild! Now every time I go in the kitchen to cook he pushes a chair over and climbs up and says "I wanna cook mom, I won't touch...........it's hot".Little preview of the open house

My exciting news............okay exciting to me!
So, as many of you might know I am having an open house in November for my new little hobby/business. Well, today I just found out that we are going to be adding some other fun things to it. My wonderful and adorable Aunt invited her sister to come and she makes these adorable hand bags, her neighbor is coming who makes aprons for ladies, children and men. Also, my talented Aunt will be there with all her vinyl lettering items. If that wasn't enough there will be hair bows, headbands, clippies, tutus, crochet hats (both boutique ones and hand made beanie ones my wonderful mother makes), baby jewelry, make up and MUCH MUCH MORE!!! You will not want to miss this! If nothing else, come for the treats! It will be a fun "GIRLS DAY OUT"! Great gift ideas for the upcoming Christmas Holiday. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Grandma, look I am a Vampire!
My mom sent this to me from her phone so it is a little hard to see but she told Grandma she was a Vampire. She is really into making things out of paper and tape lately. Not to mention every time we have taken her picture lately she gives us the peace sign! What a crazy nut! She is so funny, it makes me laugh at how wild her imagination is!

Devin's Home Coming!
The song that touched my heart this morning
Makayla has a primary program coming up and we had the little cd on in the car this morning that that Primary Pres. prepared for the kids and this song was the last thing we heard. It is so beautiful, I had no idea how beautiful the words are!
If the Savior stood beside me,
would i do the things i do?
Would I think of His commandments
and try harder to be true?
Would I follow His example?
Would I live more righteously,
if I could see the Savior standing nigh
watching over me.
If the Savior stood beside me,
would i say the things i say?
Would my words be true and kind
if He were never far away?
Would I try and share the Gospel?
Would I speak more reverently?
If I could see the Savior standing nigh
watching over me.
He is always near me, though I
do not see Him there,
and because He loves me dearly
I am in his watchful care.
So i'll be the kind of person
that I know i'd like to be
if I could see the Savior standing nigh
watching over me.
If the Savior stood beside me,
would i do the things i do?
Would I think of His commandments
and try harder to be true?
Would I follow His example?

Thankful Thursday

Wow! It has been so long since I posted a Thankful Thursday!
This one is really weird I know but I am so thankful for my HANDS!!! I know I am crazy but really think about all that you do with your hands. I type, I write, I hold my little one's hands, I change clothes, I feed, I make bows, I give high fives..................and on and on and on! I was holding my little girls face in my hands this morning and after giving her a big kiss I thought to myself "I am so glad I have my hands that allow me to hold Kaden and Makayla." My mind went back to when we were sealed as a family in the temple and how we got to join hands and the special feeling we all had sitting there looking at each other with our hands all joined as one. I think I will forever associate hands with that special moment. To my dear husband and kids, I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! I am so glad I have my hands to hold and love each and every one of you. :)
